My goals going into all of this needed to be lowering my body fat % and my cholesterol which just tested at 240. Unfortunately, I am better motivated by more vain goals - which are to fit back into a size 6 and/or get back down to 120 pounds and/or lose 10+ inches around my belly.
Starting out I'm around 139 pounds and around a size 10/12. I can't imagine what my body fat % is but a number around 50 wouldn't surprise me. I jiggle EVERYwhere, but especially my belly. It's nasty. 3 pregnancies and c-sections I'm sure haven't helped matters, and I'd love to be able to afford to just have my midsection sliced off, but I'm sure it's much healthier in the long-run to do it the hard way.....blah.
I don't know what my starting measurements were, but I've also decided to measure weekly, even though it's a huge pain in the tush...or more accurately...a string around the huge tush.
Week 1 Results:
136 lbs - does anyone else instinctively suck their belly in when getting weighed? Silly right? But I do it every time!
waist: 38 1/2 - no, I wasn't sucking it in here either.
hip: 39 1/2
thigh: 21
arm: 11
My Waist to Hip Ratio is .97 - supposedly this needs to be under .8 to be healthy...whoops!
